Delicious Chocolate Pastries

Oh how I love anything with Chocolate in it! I love this recipe full stop. However I was really disappointed to find that my new husband doesn’t like Nutella. I don’t really understand it as he is a choc-holic. Maybe its because I haven’t cooked these for him yet. I mean how could you not LOVE these, really? They are dinky little puff pastries filled with Nutella and cooked. I like to sprinkle them with sifted icing sugar ( powdered Sugar) and serve them with ice cream and whipped Cream. Boy, writing these recipes out makes me so hungry! I am just thinking outside the box a bit and I don’t see any reason that you couldn’t leave out the Nutulla and instead put in a couple squares of your favorite chocolate. Maybe thats the way around it for Wayne!

Ingredients:

Frozen sheets of puff pastry

Nutella or chocolate

icing sugar ( powdered Sugar)

Ice cream

Whipped Fresh Cream

Now:

Cut the pastry sheets into 4 quarters

Put a heaped teaspoon of Nutella or a couple squares of your favorite chocolate into the middle of the pastry

Fold the pastry over to make a triangle and seal the edges with water

Place them all on a cookies sheet in the over on 400F.

They should take about 10 minutes to puff up and be golden but I suggest you watch them as you don’t want them to burn.

Take them out of the oven and cool a little.

Serve with a sprinkle of icing sugar on the top along with a scoop of icecream and a dollop of fresh whipped pure cream.

Enjoy!

Ohhhhhh these really are decadent. I always feel like I am really eating something luxurious and very naughty when I indulge in these.  These chocolate pastries are so quick that I don’t think you would need a shortcut for these at all. If you have a friend who needs a pick me up, what a lovely gift these would make, beautifully showcased in a square box lined with  a pretty bunch of tissue paper and wrapped with a pretty ribbon in her favorite color. Not many of us bother to go to the extra trouble to bring somthing homemade to our friends these days. I never forget the friends who come armed with a rose or a little something just to show they care. Its delightful and I must try to remember to do it more often.
