Virtually anyone can make this easy recipe. This would be a great way to get teenagers to start cooking, or the whole family could rally around and help with this one. I always keep a jar or two of our favorite Pasta sauce in the pantry, we love the 5 cheeses one. Packets of dry pasta are also a staple and we are never without a few packets in the pantry. So now all you need is some Turkey mince some chicken stock powder and some parmesan cheese and you are all set. If you want to add some vegetables that is fine too, you could use leftovers from the fridge or frozen or even fresh vegetables, whatever you fancy on the day. I love these recipes that only have 4 or 5 ingredients.
When my mother used to make pasta dishes she always served up the past on the plate then spooned the sauce on the top. I prefer to add the sauce to the cooked pasta and stir it all up then serve it as one item. If I have a large crowd for dinner I then serve it into a beautiful large serving bowl on the table. It makes a great centerpiece and I like that guests can serve themselves as much or as little as they choose.
OK Here is the recipe.
Ingredients:
Turkey Mince ( you choose quantity)
1 Packet Dry Pasta
1 tablespoon chicken stock powder
1 Jar good pasta sauce
Vegetables ( optional)
Grated Parmesan Cheese
Now:
Cook the pasta in a large pot of boiling salted water till ala dente.
Stir fry the turkey mince with the chicken stock till it is brown.
Add the jar of sauce to the turkey, add vegetables and stir fry till everything is heated through.
Drain the pasta and add the turkey and sauce to it and stir well.
Serve in a large bowl with grated parmesan on top.
Enjoy!
I would serve this with garlic bread or hot buttered rolls and a lovely glass of white wine. This is a perfect dish when you have a large crowd as it’s comfort food at its best and you wont feel exhausted after preparing it. An easy dessert would be ice cream and peaches. When people come to visit they don’t expect a meal that they would have in a restaurant, but they will enjoy this feast that you have prepared.
